How do I use the trading journal (Daily Planner)?

The Daily Planner in Analytics is your trading journal. Use it to check each day's results and to see which days count toward your minimum profitable days.

  1. Open Analytics from the menu and choose Daily Planner.

  2. Pick a day in the week view. Use the arrows to move between weeks.

  3. Review the day's Net P&L, number of trades, win rate and profit factor. A day counts as profitable when its closed P&L reaches your program's threshold (see "What are minimum profitable trading days?").

  4. Log your Mental State, add Daily Goals with +, set your market bias, rate your day and write notes.

Use the filters at the top (account, date range, setups, tags, weekdays, hours, emotions) to analyse specific periods. Analytics uses the same trading day as your limits: it ends at 5:00 pm New York time.

If our risk team asks you to journal your trading after a soft breach, this is where you do it.
